notyourcaptain: (With Riddick)
She hadn't gone looking for him. She wouldn't even know where to start. Riddick wouldn't be living in whatever spot this weird town had given him. She doubted he even really lived anywhere. How did you stay stationary after years of running?

Smoke swirled up around her head and she flicked the cigarette lightly, ashing it onto the pavement at her feet. It was warmer and warmer at night, and she couldn't resist sitting out on the front stoop of her apartment building, the porch lamp flooding the steps and sidewalk with yellow light. It kept a safe circle around her, holding back the dark, and she could enjoy the breeze that touched at her hair.

The truth was, she wanted to look for him. She'd been having dreams every night. Bad dreams that would inevitably end with her hand slipping out of his tight grip. She'd needed him then. Carolyn was beginning to think she needed him now, and wasn't that just a fucking cherry.

Riddick wouldn't want her around now any more than he had back on the planet. So she wouldn't bother to look. Even if he did allow himself to be found, it would only be to tell her to fuck off.

Right?
